John Leslie was born in Hayes, Middlesex on September 01, 1935. He spent his childhood in Wales with his family during the end of the Second World War. John had one sibling, his little sister Janet.

John will be remembered for so many things. Not just for his straight talking no nonsense attitude, but mostly for his incredible musical genius. Producing this countries finest accordion players, composing the syllabus for the Accordion Exams, and his incredible musical arrangements. John was the selected UK judge for the World Accordion Championships, and adjudicated hundreds of competitions all around the world. 

Owner of Accordions Of London based in Kilburn, North London, John was a regular in Italy at the accordion factories where he was known fondly as "Mr London". Designing his own range of accordions for import into the UK, John was well known for being the man to see for a top quality instrument. 

John Leslie was a force to be reckoned with, and his legacy will live on through his children who have followed in his footsteps. 

He is much loved and will always be remembered by all his friends and family.
