I met john many years ago in Caister when Tollefson played there probably mid 80,s. It has been a lifelong memory for me. Whilst there John introduced some of us to free base accordion. I found him a very nice man of genuine friendship and welcoming to me as I had travelled from Dublin on my own and he made me feel so welcome. I am sorry only now to note his passing.
